A Tale Of Two Princesses

10/21/2010

It started out with each of the princesses taking a shower and getting their hair ready to comb. :) Like I said before, I thought *I* was hyper… but you should have heard them giggling. It was so fun! They helped each other get ready while I worked ahead a bit on supper, cuz the lighting is always perfect right at the time i’m usually working on supper. (yes, a very sad fact! there’s been many a day when i have to work HARD on keeping a positive attitude while stuck in the kitchen with the sun sending it’s last and best warm rays outside) After they had combed each other’s hair out, I took them over to my little house and then I had fun dolling them up and they had fun using Sandra’s hair mousse and hair accessories – big stuff, i tell you!
So it started with much dressing up and then the rest… well, i’ll tell it in pictures. :) I admit that since these pictures were all my doing, and i have no parents or clients to please through them, i went and did it all precisely as i wanted them. Vintage, antique film, etc. As much as I love trying to please my subjects, it’s just too much fun doing something all “for myself.” So feel free to leave your comments and critiques. As I’ve always said, I have my unique style which can’t be totally changed but it can be bettered.
Enjoy!

Hey Sandra, these little maidens are so cute. The second to last two pictures are by far my favorite. I love the look of surprise on the one girl after the secret is told, and the other girl’s gleeful smile. It is so true to life. :) Btw, their curls are adorable!

thanks Verda! Glad they made some other happy too. I smile at them every time i see them, too. :) It’s especially cute because the little girl in purple&yellow is deaf. The other little girl is hearing but knows perfect ASL and they are good friends and communicate with no problem. So the “whispering” was actually just a way to get them to laugh, because all Beatrice would feel is the tickling breath on her ear. :)

    Hi Sandra!

I love #4. You captured their life and energy very well, in my humble, non-photographyish opinion. If they are the princesses I bet they view you as the fairy godmother :) Where are you by now anyhow? Sorry about the rhyme there. They sorta slip out sometimes :)
